This collection is dedicated to raising awareness of conflict minerals in the context of the scramble for Africa.
The 19th-century scramble for Africa saw the great powers rush to control land so they could exploit natural resources. Today, there is a new scramble for Africa taking place, and the continent has again become a vital arena of strategic and geopolitical competition between the US, France, Britain, China and India. The key question for many is: will the exploitation of Africa's rich resources benefit anyone other than the continent's elites?
This collection was designed to empower women by its emancipation for women to unite and fight gender based violence.

Violence against women - particularly intimate partner violence and sexual violence - are major public health problems and violations of women's human rights.

Global estimates published by WHO indicate that about 1 in 3 (35%) women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime.
