'I looked and beheld my reflection as if in a mirror…I was confused as to whether it was me or someone else. Eyes blood stained swollen with pain and nerves pumping blood to a heart that was failing and a body that was dying, I watched as the tears washed away all that was left, was I beholding myself?

Doctors rushed into the room and nurses drugged me, I tried to comprehend what was happening around me it was a whirlwind of emotions and events. It was all confusing and dark but suddenly, I saw a light beyond all the dark clouds, I followed it and I found peace.'

Stories are meant to be told.My Dear Reflection captures and amazing story of twins growing up in Lusaka, Zambia. This story was inspired by the lives of many who remain forgotten, those whose sacrifices are ignored and whose victories are considered insignificant.

The western world of today has led many to trample on their roots that were grown by the blood and sweat of our ancestors. Africa has become synonymous with poverty and we as the Africans gleefully accept this misconception. It is time for Africa to stand up and rise on its feet, blow the horn of battle and begin its fight against poverty and corruption, victory is through unity. We as the Africans must unite in one vision to develop our mother land.We are the pioneers of our own destiny.

My Dear Reflections, we might not think alike, look alike, speak alike but truly we are one, of the same mother Africa though different fathers, we must realise that victory is in unity.
