Home of Happiness is an orphanage located in George Compound, Lusaka Zambia. It functions as a school and a boarding house for differently abled children in the George Compound. Some of these children are neglected, others have families; both groups receive care and support from Home of Happiness. It houses a total of 120 children. The differently abled children learn with one another at this school that teaches its students from grade 1 to 7.

A noble task by well-wishers of George Compound to help those amongst them who are differently abled.

It is inspiring to see that individual citizens can be self-motivated to dedicate their time and resources to benevolence. Their work is truly shaping the lives of the children and more can be done, more should be done, more has to be done!

As YEA our vision is to inspire youth to be beacons of hope in their communities by investing in social entrepreneurship. This means that we will support youth who wish to engage in entrepreneurship and urge them to dedicate their work to helping their communities in simple ways like making monthly donations at local orphanages, dedicating some times to cleaning the surroundings of the communities or simply sharing food with others.

It’s simple but it’s effective, YEA we can do it!
